Effective 1 October 2026.
We want caltonbrown.com to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technology, keyboards or screen magnification.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We do not currently claim full conformance, and we have not made that claim for any page. Accessibility is a standard we are working toward, not a badge we have been given.
What we do
- Use clear page structure, meaningful headings and descriptive link text.
- Provide alternative text for product and editorial images, so that the content is available without sight of the image.
- Keep text readable, with sufficient contrast and resizable type.
- Make the main shopping journey, from browsing to checkout, usable by keyboard.
- Review accessibility when we add or change features.
Known limitations
Some parts of the website are provided by third parties, including checkout, payments, reviews and embedded content, and we do not control all of their accessibility. Some product imagery may not yet carry full descriptive text. We are working on both.
Alternative ways to shop
If you cannot use part of the website, or you would like information in another format, email info@caltonbrown.com and we will help you choose and order by email.
Tell us about a barrier
If you find a barrier, please email info@caltonbrown.com with the subject line “Accessibility”, the page or feature affected, and a short description of the difficulty. We aim to acknowledge it within 2 working days and to respond with a fix or a workaround within 10 working days.
If you are not satisfied
If we have not resolved your concern, you may contact the consumer or equality body in your country.
