The Côte d'Azur and the Foundation Collection

The Côte d'Azur and the Foundation Collection

There is a particular quality of light along the Côte d'Azur in early summer that does something to the way you think about clothes.

It is not romantic light. It is precise. It finds every detail, every seam, every choice you made before you left the hotel. Standing at the port in Nice, watching the tenders move between the yachts anchored offshore, you understand quickly that the men who belong here did not think about what they wore this morning. They decided some time ago.

The Foundation Collection was shaped by that observation.

Not by the glamour of the Riviera, which is well documented and easy to reach for. But by the quieter logic underneath it. The Merino Crew in slate, worn over nothing, in 24-degree heat, by a man reading something on a terrace in Cannes. The way a white Oxford moves from a morning meeting to a late lunch at a restaurant that does not take reservations. The discipline of having fewer things that work completely, rather than more things that require management.

Foundation is not an introductory range. It is the range you return to. The pieces that do not ask anything of you because you already settled that question.

We built it on the road. We confirmed it on the water. It is available now.
